We can't wait to hear from you!

I am a qualified tesol teacher but have been out of the game for several years. I would like to get back in to teaching but feel my knowledge is very rusty.

Does anyone know of any refresher courses in Scotland or voluntary teaching e.t.c that would help ease me back in?
Also are there jobs available in Glasgow?
Cheers

Fees
Hi I am thinking about a career change and looking at TEFL courses. I would like to do private teaching in the UK part time and wondered what people would charge potential students? thanks Tracy

Hi,
Noticed this question, would have to say anything from £0 to £20 but I think it can obviously depend where you live and what other provision there is in the area.Have you tried the www.teflscotland.co.uk forum pages and askd there?

How do you rate my chances.....
Hi....
I have been looking to enrol for a CELTA course in Sydney. I have a bachelors and a master’s degree in Business with 9 years of sales and marketing experience. Although I have studied English for 17 yrs ….I am not a native speaker…in terms of acquiring
local ascent (Even though I have lived in this country over 10 yrs). I called a couple of English schools in Eastern Europe especially Poland. The feed back was very disappointing even though I have a good command over this language and have studied this language for so many year (Grammar for 8 years in school, 5 yrs of creative writing).I have a strong feeling that I might be discriminated of not being a native speaker as I am looking for am employment opportunity towards eastern Europe. Your feedback will be deeply appreciated, as this shall help me to make my decision towards doing this course or not.

Cheers

Hi
I think TEFL mama has missed the point - to teach live online you can look on www.tefl.com for jobs. I've seen a couple of companies advertise there.

jobs in Edinburgh
Hello,

I am looking to find work as a TEFL teacher in Edinburgh in the new year. I've been teaching for nearly 2 years. I spent 13 months teaching in China and since my return in April this year I've been teaching at International House and British study centre in London. Is there any advice anyone can give me? Schools to approach and schools to avoid etc.
Thanks Hannah

Hi Hannah
Can't actually recommend a school but if you have a look at the links page it will give you a start at least on where to apply. Good luck on your search!

Hi
I think this site is for those wanting to teach English abroad or in the UK. Not sure if finding any kind of job is relevant!Sad to hear you don't like Scots though!
